500 ml bottle from my friend in Aberdeen! Nose is nice flowery hops and light grassiness. Lightly hazy yellow with a medium, pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet corn with a slight buttery hint.

25-Aug-08 (500-ml bottle, Best before June, 2009: Purchased 12-May-08 for $5.89 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Grainy malts, buttered toast, background corn, and a bit of huskiness, but the huskiness is not reminiscent of spent grains. To balance the malt, the English hops add a very soft bitterness and mildly floral flavor. A gentle tartness also makes for a nice contrast to the more prominent maltiness. Light in body, but not watery, and the tartness and mild bitterness keep the palate clean and refreshed. The nose is malty, toasty, and slightly hoppy with a hint of butter. Golden-yellow in color with a slight haziness. The full inch of off-white foam settles in rocky fashion to a thin, bubbly layer. A curtain of beautiful, delicate, and very fine lacing covers the glass. A very enjoyable session beer that shows nice restraint.

This had a delicious ale aroma. Buttery, peaty, British hop aroma. Nice citrine gold with a good bottle and label. A bit briny and peaty, not too sweet, some wood, some diacetyl. Slight complaint on the mouthfeel - a bit watery. Finish has some pistachio and quits quickly Bittering is toasty and not aggressive.

Foamy off-white head on a clear dark yellow body. Very hoppy and flowery aroma with a sweet toffee undertone - very nice and inviting. Flavor is sweet malty with a little smoke. Quite thin on the palate but still a nice beer.

Bottle pours golden, small white dishwater like head, nice lacing, but with very little carbonation.   A very subtle aroma of flora and charred wood.   The charred wood comes out in strength once it hits your tongue.   Very light malt profile.   Finishes a bit thin, with lingering ashtray notes.   While not a bad beer, its not all that impressive either.

Copper Coloring with White Skin. Many Particles Afloat. Some Fruit on the Nose, but Absent From the Taste. Pretty Watery Overall...But for a Light Hop Aftertaste. Not Much Here to Enjoy.
