(500ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers Wine Merchants in May 2007. Pours a thin, receding white frothy head with a mildly cloudy golden body. Nose is decently hoppy with any orange aroma. I would have thought this to be an Amber Ale? Good piney hop bite. Somewhat milky through the finish. Good.

12/2001 Half of a gift set from the Inveralmond Brewery this is a pleasantly bitter ale. It actually reminds me of one our homebrew batches with a bit less hops (which is a good thing - the batch was far too bitter!) I enjoyed this one a lot. Very drinkable. Hopefully the other bottle in the set will be just as good.

Easy going hoppy well balanced aroma. Taste is similar with the bittering hops having a wee play. An easy goign session ale.

Bottle. A slightly chill-hazed almost golden beer with a moderate sized, white head. Citrusy on the nose, with grapefruit and some pineapple. A touch of pale malt in the background. Medium body, quite effervescent, with a bit too much sweetness. Fine hoppy fruityness and bitterness. Grapefruit and resin. Medium lenght fruity finish with grapefruit and resin. Easy to drink and quite quenching, but not a very interesting beer. (090220)

500 ml bottle from my friend in Aberdeen! Nose is nice flowery hops and light grassiness. Lightly hazy yellow with a medium, pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet corn with a slight buttery hint.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small head, nice lace, and a faint peaty sweet & floral aroma. Tastes like a blonde ale - somewhat fruity, with faint neutral bittering hops and some citrus (cascade) and floral notes. Faint almond & white vinegar taste. Lightly creamy body, sub-par carb. This would be excellent with a chilli or another spicy food, but on its own it doesn’t really stand-up. It’s too fruity to be a traditional bitter, but lacks the proper yeast to be a blonde. Ossian reminds me of the Italian "ossia", which means "or". This is either a bitter OR a blonde, OR possibly neither.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pale golden colour, white head. The brew has some sweet malts and floral hops. Soft finish.
