My undated bottle poured with a very high degree of sediment which leads me to believe it may have been a the shelf a bit long. All the same, this was an enjoyable quaff ... big-bodied sweet malty beer with a distinct tone of peat, light smoke and raisins. Different.

Bottled. Golden with lacy white head. Grassy herb aroma atop a good malt and hop structure. Plenty of everything in this beer which makes it nice to talk to.

Bottle. Dark golden with a pretty white head and lace. Hoppy! Flowers, fruit, grass, soap, dry, long finish. Nice.

Amber with a nice head and lace. The aroma has a lot of earthy/smoked peat notes. The flavour is slightly sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, smoke fruit and flower. The finish is long with a discrete bitterness, that develops and grows stronger.

Hopped up golden ale, grassy and grapefruity hops, floral and bitter. Crisp palate with a soft bready grain flavor. Hint of lemon peel in the aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.

Bottle. Pale golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is mildly hopped and lightly toffee, and the flavour is rather more deeply hopped and toffee. Overall a nice beer.

Pours a one-finger white head that goes quickly leaving no lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slightly sweet malty nose. Starts sweetish, hops are there at finish but hardly over powering. $1.95 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.
