piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 28, 2009 Bottled sample. Gold in colour with fairly strong and spritzy carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefruit, black pepper, pale malts, and dry leaves. More of a grapefuit and orange combo in the mouth, along with more spice and caramel arriving mid-sip. Some floral and very mild fruity UK yeast notes on the back end. Mineral and leafy dry on the finish. Medium to light bodied. Very fresh tasting. Way closer to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale than you might expect from a 4.1 % abv beer from Scotland. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Oct 2, 2009 (bottle - 500 ml) Light gold in color with a fizzy white head. A decent amount of citrus and malt in the aroma with a mild floral and peppery hop hint. Flavor is spicy and citrusy at the beginning with a mild malt middle and a lightly bitter and peppery hop finish. A bit cloying but rather drinkable. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 15, 2009 500 ml bottle from my friend in Aberdeen! Nose is nice flowery hops and light grassiness. Lightly hazy yellow with a medium, pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet corn with a slight buttery hint. ErikTheViking (76), Oslo, Norway Aug 11, 2009 22 July at Cardinal. Pale golden. Sweet. Aroma of flowers. Not a big favorite of this one. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Aug 3, 2009 Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pale golden colour, white head. The brew has some sweet malts and floral hops. Soft finish. vtafro (452), , New Jersey, USA Jul 23, 2009 Bottle thanks to Rciesla. Eh not a huge fan. Alcohol content is low, flavor isn’t great or full, not much aroma to speak of.
