apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Nov 23, 2007 Ever-so-slightly hazy. Copper-colored. Frothy head that lingers awhile. Pleasantly hoppy aroma, but it smells a little old or oxidized. Herbal and grassy. The flavor is pretty hoppy, as it should be, and it is well-blended with the mild malty sweetness. A solid beer overall.
MikeT (76), Hollis, New Hampshire, USA Aug 6, 2008 Nice pour with a darker more amber color than most IPA’s. Solid off color head and nice lacing to the glass.
Nice balance aroma of both malt and hops.
This is a well balanced IPA that goes down quite easily but could use a few more hops to make it a great one.
Overall this is a very good IPA and one that I have again.. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a deep reddish copper with an off white head. Sweet smells of caramel and malt. Nice mouthfeel Biddle_Brau (94), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 29, 2008 Poured cloudy copper with tan head leaving nice lacing. Aroma of caramel. Flavor was sweet but hops balancing with fair amount of dryness. After a few sips the bitterness begins to become more apparent finally matching the style. pepsican (667), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Jul 18, 2008 Amber pour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malts. Flavor has the same caramel with toffee and just a bit of hops. Finishes semi sweet, pretty refreshing.
