| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Nov 6, 2009 The aroma is very malty with yeast and citrus hops. The appearance is cloudy amber with a medium head. The flavor is like the aroma with malt up front and bitter at the the end. The palate is thick for the style but I like it. Overall a beer that rates higher than anticipated still its pretty ho hum.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Bottle from Foster’s Market. Noticed the sediment at the bottom and knew it would be worth a shot. Pours orange-gold, hazy and with a small off-white head. Still some sediment significant to settle at the bottom. Mild beer all around, but in a good way. Slightly sweet, but not overly malty. Some grain and tea notes. Medium body. Immensely drinkable. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2009 12oz bottle obtained as part of a mix pack at Market Basket. Pours a hazy amber red with a thin film of off-white head. Smells fruity with toffee and caramel with some grassy tea-like English hops playing a strong role. Grassy tea-like hops hit first, with a fair bit of caramel hitting shortly thereafter. Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Very drinkable, perhaps one of the easiest to finish English Pale Ales I’ve had. Balanced, full flavored, not overpowering. Near perfect in every way. A solid choice. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2009 (Draft) Pours dark amber with a finger or so of biege head. Aroma is a little fruity with some caramel. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, perhaps slightly pebbly. Very nice, sturdy rings of lacing line the shaker. Flavor of pleasant fruitiness wirh some darkish caramel underneath. Light bitter pinch in the finish. Not bad a’tall.
