DrZao (96), Houston, Texas, USA Sep 24, 2009 Bottle at Pramanti’s in Pitt. Typical light American lager: mild hops and watery but bright palate. It is the local classic so I had to try it. Went well with my pastrami sandwich though! sirpsycho (342), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a sparkling gold, very fine white head, leaves some lacing. Grain, corn, grass and vague hops sum up the aroma. Flavor is mostly malt, some hops and a touch of corn. Finish is very crisp, has a touch of bitterness. whaleale (5), Athens, Tennessee, USA does not count Sep 2, 2009 Not a bad yard beer. Good flavor for a light lager. Pours very little veil and finishes weak. Better choice than Bud or Coors. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 14, 2009 Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is corn, malt, grain. Flavor is corn, malt, grains. Watery thin and easy to drink but lacking flavor. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jul 20, 2009 remember seeing this beer as a kid withthe pittsburgh steelers on the can Gold colour, poor head retention, a few tiny bubbles stuck to the edge of the glass then totally vanished. Aroma was corny, a little grain. Very light in the flavour dept, weak citrus note, thin malt and corn. Thin body, average carboantion. Corny grainy clinging aftertaste jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2009 Everyone in Pittsburgh somehow chokes this down a regular basis. Maybe the new brewer will do this beer some good, but this is light, watery, piss tasting beer. Not a good one. leems (147), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 6, 2009 Better than the light version, I have drank more of this than I’m proud of but will most likely not again. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jul 5, 2009 Aluminum bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Clear golden pour with no head. Weird Raspberry tart aroma note. Absurdly sweet fake corn flavor. Metallic penny. Very flat. Like a really bad euro strong lager, but without the alcohol, and goodness. I’d take a bud over this one any day.
