Pours clear yellow with a mild aroma; taste is your average piss water beer with nothing special about. Extra deduction for being the beer choice of Steeler fans. Pours a hazy, whitish-yellow color; white head with patchy lacing. Light citrus and sugar in the aroma; nothing offensive. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: grapey upfront, with some sugar and average carbonation. Quick, slightly grapey finish. patrick767 (2019), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

It smells like mild malt and adjuncts. It tastes like sweet corn and other adjuncts. I’ve had worse and it’s not as watery as some. That’s as close to "good" as I can justifiably come with what’s apparently a favorite of many in Pittsburgh. It’s crap. mrmojo (37), Edmond, Oklahoma, USA

Really no nose, a hint of grain. No hop taste to speak of an easy drink but ni flavor a massed produced lager hiding under a craft flag obguthr (1011), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

It certainly isn’t premium by any standard. I have had this beer from a tap, from an aluminum can, a glass bottle, a steel can, an aluminum/glass-lined bottle. The taste of the beer fluctuates considerably based on it’s container type and relative temperature. I have always found the canned beers to be excessively bitter. However from the tap this beer goes down smooth with no real surprises. It is basically a getting drunk watching the Steelers type beer. If you want to try a beer in Pittsburgh and only have one to choose, go for a Stoney’s for flavor, go for an IC for tradition and nostalgia.
