jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Jul 13, 2006 Well, it looks like a macro lager, poured a clear yellowish golden with a fizzy white head, light carbonation.
Had a faint nose, overcooked veggies and husks are the only aromas I care to detect.
Softly crisp, thin, watery light bodied mouthfeel, for me, poor drinkability, mainly because of taste.
Sweet grain husky and more cooked corn, but with a little sour cooked green vegetables, taste. Pretty bland tasting with a lingering sourness.
Personally, I thought this was a waste of hard earned money, even if it is cheap, a poor macro lager. This has replaced Coors as my least favorite American macro lager.
tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 27, 2006 Nice bottle, but otherwise very disappointing. Its yellow with a small white head. Overly carbonated. Smells sweet, mildly fruity. Tastes similar but really watery. Its thirst quenching- but then again, I’d rather just drink water! pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 27, 2006 A metal bottle. Pours yellow and fizzy with a loose and unimpressive head. The nose is adjuncty. Yeast, bread, and oddly enough, I get a slight amount of fruit, but it’s not any sort of god fruit. The palate is again fizzy and harsh. I was being kind with my rating. The flavor is really weak too. immediately the yeasty light beer taste with some hints of malt liquoresque corn flakes. There’s some bitterness to this beer, but it might be from age. I didn’t like this beer, obviously. But big ups on the cool bottlecan. I wish more, and better, breweries would give this sort of format a try to preserve more delicate brews. chainman (103), Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2006 355ml aluminum bottle - purchased at the LCBO because it looked cool. What a mistake! Even ice-cold, this beer just plain reeked. Sweet, thin mouthfeel, and...dear god...so much corn. Corn to the point where they must think their drinkers are idiots and don’t know that it’s the hallmark of a cheap beer. Worse than anything I’ve tried lately, and that includes Canadian "dollar beers." I can’t stress what a travesty this stuff is. TerryR (382), Oswego, Illinois, USA Jun 2, 2006 Golden color with a white head that fades away. Slight hops in the aroma. Moderately sweet flavor with a hint of corn Another hint of hops in the finish. Drinkable and an alternative to the big guys. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA May 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, corn, slight grassy hops. Flavor is corn, grain, water, weak, slight bitter finish. nothing good, yet drinkable. Tmoney99 (4652), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 25, 2006 Metal bottle. Clear pale color with an average white head that diminished quickly. Light grass hop aroma. Light body with a watery texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a bitter finish of short duratoin. Better than my expectations. POD (198), USA May 13, 2006 I bought a six pack bottles for $2.99 in Southern Ohio. Poured the first cold one into a pislner glass. The aroma was faint hops scent. Little to no aftertaste. Flavor was very watery w/nothing special to remember. However, it served fine for quenching my thirst (ala gatorade) on a hot spring day. It was worth the 50 cents a bottle that I paid for it.
