Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 5, 2009 Pours a golden body with a fading white head. Smells of sweet corn. Taste is sweet, corn, cardboard. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Jun 27, 2009 Pint. Pours clear yellow/gold with a small head. No lacing. Nose is weak..typical corn lager aroma. Taste is actually better than i expected. Very inoffensive, adjuncts are not overwhelming or pissy. I would take this any day of Bud, pabst, Coors, Miller or any of the typical crap macros. Mechem (13), Lima, Peru Jun 13, 2009 Iron City is a taste that is either acquired or inherited. In my case it was the latter. I liked it from the first sip and I’m from Pittsburgh. It must be genetic.
The smell is not exactly pleasant and the look is uninviting but its drinkability is great. I find it doesnt fill me up and is easy to throw a few back. Plus it is affordable.
deyholla (504), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 9, 2009 Bottle. Poured a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is bland, some malts and hops. Flavor disappoints like the aroma, not much here. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA May 19, 2009 Mmmmm... can at Redlight. I might have shotgunned this one, as I have the tendency to do that to pale lagers. I’m sure this tasted just like the rest of them out there, but it went down so fast, and so cold, that I can’t really remember. I’m just writing this to get the tick and it was in my book. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA May 14, 2009 Another nice, watery, underwhelming lager from the fine folks at Iron City. Love the brewery name, that’s about the best I can say for this one. Dizzy17 (11), Jefferson City, Missouri, USA Mar 12, 2009 THE WORST! I have tried this beer under several different aliases - as Olde Frothingslosh (loved the "bathing beauty" on the can [what a babe!]), as JR Ewing Beer (when "Dallas" was popular), and as a generic called BEER. All of them were equally bad. The aroma and the palate were hard to describe. So, I’ll just call them "nasty" and let it go at that. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Mar 8, 2009 Bottle. What a way to finish off a bad day of work. Pours a golden nectar with a soda like diminishing white head. Skunk, malt extract, some earth and corn galore. Taste is a little better than the aroma much like your classic macro lager.
