Pours a golden nectar with a soda like diminishing white head. Skunk, malt extract, some earth and corn galore. Taste is a little better than the aroma much like your classic macro lager. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 3, 2009 THOUGHTS: Not very good. A little rough to drink, but not as bas as I thought it would be.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light, clear yellow with nice carbonation and little white pieces like coconut shavings or confetti at the bottom of a clean glass. It also had a small, white head that fully diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was light grassy hops, cooked corn and light vinegar. The initial flavor was sweet; while the finish was sour and slightly bitter with a short duration. There was malt, lemony honey, grassy hops and water. The light to medium body was watery and then slightly dry with tingly to fizzy carbonation and a light astringent finish. unclemattie (2401), Georgia, USA

Appearance is typical of style. Aroma of of canned corn (salt added and very sweet niblets). Again typical. Roasted corn flavor, finishes with a hop stalk bite. I gotta vomit now. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA

Ok good, then I wont. ucusty (1881), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle: Pale yellow pour slightly bright. fluffy white head and drippy lace. Definite grainy corn like aroma that I have come to despise. Malty, corn flakes, and light hop flavor. garthicus (1273), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Thanks to my co-worker Helen for bringing this back from Pittsburgh for me. Pours a very light yellow with a lot of visible carbonation and a proud snow white head. Aroma: Corn, malt some rubber(like the inside of a new plastic pencil case) and a tiny hint of unripe fruit. Flavour: Sweet, some definite corn notes, light malt, slight metallic finish. Not great but would drink it over say - Budweiser any day! Thanks Helen :-) PghBrewer (10), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Pretty poor lager. Being from Pittsburgh originally, I’d like to support Iron City, but it’s just not that good. It’s a liite over carbonated, a little light on flavor/complexitity, a little sweet, a bit astringent, and overall a bit dissapointing. Better then Bud/Coors/Miller light, but not as good as Yuengling or (I C Brewings’s own) Augistiner.
