Bottle: Looks like a normal beer. Has almost no head. Aroma is carboard. Taste is lacking, mouthfeel is decent.

Light straw colored, head is small and bright-white. Typical pale lager aroma: straw, wet hay, grass, and grains. Very mildly bitter with more grainy/grass notes. Non-offensive and clean.

I’ve read that Pennsylvania was looking for environmentally friendly ways to rid itself of the endless slag heaps left behind by its decaying steel industry. Take just one sip of Iron City and you’ll discover were the slag is going. Seriously, if your looking to turn your colon into a Superfund site, drink some of this crap. By the way, the character rescued by our hero "Michael" in the Deer Hunter didn’t loose his legs as a result of a fall from a helicopter while fleeing the VC. He lost them as a result of Iron City abuse. Interestingly, this is the same movie where Rolling Rock is praised as a "good beer." Oh the humanity!

A steel bottle of beer? Really? Great idea, average pale lager. I have to admit, seeing a bottle made of metal was the main selling point. That and the fact that a single cost about a buck. Overall points for that originality.

The "bottle" is much nicer looking than the can in the picture. Mild creamed corn aroma with some light floral (hallertau?) hops. Clear golden body with thin ring of white head that leaves some light lacing. Creamed corn and cabbage with some floral lavender hop flavours and very subdued bitterness. Light body with moderate carbonation. Aluminum bottle sampled with MartinT, Olivier MTL and Rastacouere.

The Lure:
Nice can. Malt husks are floating on top of the water I think, with some grass blades. Doesn’t smell awful, obviously made for chugging.

The Festivities:
Reeks of adjuncts (maybe corn?). Cleanly brewed thankfully, I may have even noticed hops. Urine dominates though, but very subtlely. The classic blend of bland and blond.

Transcendence:
Go Steelers (buuurrrp) go!
