TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 7, 2005 Ok, honestly, this beer (and any beer like it) gets bonus appearance points for the aluminum bottle. Didn’t expect much from this beer, but was pleasantly surprised. One of the better lager’s I’ve had in a while. spkldhenlvr24 (446), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA Jan 3, 2005 12oz. bottle. Clear yellow(straw colored), bubbly body. Thin, white, quick head. Sweet, yeasty, skunky, grass aroma. Malty, bland, grassy flavor. Not a real great taste. Slight harsh, soapy aftertaste. Eeehhhh. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA Jan 2, 2005 This is pretty much your run of the mill pale lager. Some malt fullness in the mouth. A bit grainy and somewhat raw. JFGrind (1346), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 27, 2004 Mechanicsville, VA was the last place I thought I’d be drinking Iron City. But low and behold there I was splitting $3 pitchers of Iron City with old college friends watching the NFL. Average beer at best. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Dec 23, 2004 Aluminum bottle. Moderate malt aroma with slightly sweet corn aroma. Golden color with moderate head. Light sweet malt flavor with slight corn flavor as well. Standard American brew. Rockinout (945), Kent, Ohio, USA Dec 20, 2004 Aluminum bottle. Almost yellow, fizzy for sure. Standard lager that has a somewhat peppery hop bite at the finish. Only Steeler fans enjoy this stuff and that I am not. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 13, 2004 I’m glad that their new aluminum bottles gives them something to get excited about, because it’s gotta be real hard for a brewer to get worked up over this piss-water. Poured from the metal bottle, it’s a deep yellow color with a rapidly vanishing head. Coupled with the lack of carbonation, this stuff has the presentation of a 1st-class, 40-oz, brown bottled-malt liquor. It smells like rotting corn and rusted cans. Sadly, it tastes worse. And for those of you who enjoy such things, it has a metallic finish that leaves your tongue burning. Enjoy! Goblincat (356), Westland, Michigan, USA Nov 30, 2004 Really cool bottle. Somehow managed to get lightly skunked even though there is no way light could get in... Maybe it was done on purpose at the brewery. Sweet malt, sour fruit, and light skunk combine. Looking past the skunk, there might be a beer similar in taste to Fat Tire or Dos Equis.
