Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Nov 21, 2004 Updated: Mar 23, 2005Keith-Well, for a heap lager I guess its ok. Metal "bottle" caught my eye. This beer is light on aroma and head. The taste is also weak with a hint of sweetness brought on by the malt. You get what you think you are going to get on this one. jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Nov 16, 2004 Pours with a white head that fades quickly, leaving no lace. Light carbonation. Clear amber color, light bodied. Nose is a faint apple. Starts malty, hops are in the background, finishes with hints of apple/lemon. 95¢ for a 12 oz bottle from Vintage Cellar Blacksburg, VA. robharing (82), Ormond Beach, Florida, USA Nov 14, 2004 i tryed this beer from a co worker visiting back home from fla she bought back couple cases of this beer for us down here in fl to try at the time this beer was the best we all tried in florida becouse the alcohol content back then fl only alowed 3.5% now things are diverent. it was better than the major brands jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Nov 11, 2004 Updated: Jan 21, 2005Pours the expected golden yellow with a quickly fading white head. Grassy aroma. Taste is that of a typical macro lager: grainy with rice, corn. However, it does have a little more malty sweetness and body than BMC. Thin and fizzy on the palate but to it’s credit, there’s a hint of taste on the back end. Not good, but not offensive by any means either. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Nov 10, 2004 Slightly dark gold color. Thin white head. The the aroma is malty with grass and the sweetness of pears. The taste is light and inoffensive. It has some dirt and a little bit of bread. Not much else going on. GrainBeltGuzzler (249), Goodhue, Minnesota, USA Nov 7, 2004 nice overall beer, faint scent of something, nice color with snow white head that dissapates quickly.tastes of malt and corn with something of a hop nip at the end, not strong enough to be called an actual bite. The fact that I am watching the steeler/eagle game probably helps this beer on a nostaglia stand point turbo (1254), Arizona, USA Oct 31, 2004 Cool looking bottle kinda pissy aroma but it didnt taste to bad.
A sweet taste not bad at all. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA Oct 28, 2004 The new IC aluminum bottle hit town the other day and I just had to check it out. Poured medium gold in color with a mild malty grainy aroma and faint hoppiness. Light bodied, some maltiness and crisp in the finish, it’s a fresh batch anyways. Pretty average for the style, compared favorably taste wise with the big brands and generally a lot cheaper, although the new packaging was a bit more than the regular bottles. What the heck, give it a try, you can always use ’em for little bowling pins.
