| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | May 30, 2004 40oz. Another crap beer. A little better than BMC, but what does that say. Basically it was less offensive. You can drink it, and you can finish the 40, but it’ won’t be fun. flemdawg (485), Naples, Florida, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 29, 2004 Shared this can with Silphium at thedm and hotsuff’s place. Um, thanks for this one Matt. Golden in color with a monstous initial white head that died to nothing very quickly. A hint of malts and hops in the aroma along with a touch of fruitiness. But the corn and other "good" stuff dominates. Ditto for the flavor, corn, rice, and the mearest of hops and malts. I could actually drink more than one of these at a time, but I don’t think I would respect myself in the morning. PorterPounder (3136), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 29, 2004 Typical cheap retro lager flavor, appearance, aroma and palate. Sad that this is what was dealt to the masses back in the day. Nothing to distinguish itself from Pabst, Schmidt, Hamms etc. Light golden appearance, tinny taste and aroma. No real malt or hop presence. Can imagine myself hoisting a few of these after shucking steeel though, would not want flavor to get in the way of quenching the thirst! Glad to see that the name was kept around. GrooveDaddy (10), Bham, Alabama, USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | May 28, 2004 I’ve never tried this beer, but it can claim a little fame as it was the brew that the Pennsylvania National Gaurd were drinking in the ORIGINAL George Romero film, Dawn of the Dead.
They were popping tops and shootin’ zombies, with the help of the local rednecks to the tune of "I’m a Man".
So, I suppose it’s the quintissential Zombie-killin’ beer. Gromit (461), Port Orchard, Washington, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 27, 2004 Eh, nothing to add about this beer. Yet another mass-produced lager, though it came in a cool "One Pint" bottle. This is the epitome of "fizzy yellow beer." beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 27, 2004 Well, for .99 cents how can ya go wrong, besides, it had a kinda cool little bottle. Well kinda just what i expected, a happy medium between HighLife and something slightly better. Light golden color with a small white head. Kinda no taste, or at least a lack of taste, but better than some crap beers. Wheres the 40’s of this stuff?
