This was the Pittsburgh beer versus the Seattle beer. Needless to say, the beer battle went the opposite direction of the football game. Pretty much same taste as all macros. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA

Nose of mild hops, and flavor is mild malts. Reminds my of Bud, but slightly better. The touch of bitterness is its best feature. Good for the price. MrManning (1652), London, Ontario, Canada

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jul 5, 2009 Aluminum bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Clear golden pour with no head. Weird Raspberry tart aroma note. Absurdly sweet fake corn flavor. Metallic penny. Very flat. Like a really bad euro strong lager, but without the alcohol, and goodness. I’d take a bud over this one any day. Sparky27 (1596), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

I feel like I should put on a Franco Harris jersey and wave a Terrible Towel while drinking it. Pours a clear yellow with a 2 finger quickly dissipating snow white head and spotty lacing. Nose is grain and light hops. Taste is malt, some light hops and a slight metallic finish. Light mouth feel. Not good. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jul 13, 2006 Well, it looks like a macro lager, poured a clear yellowish golden with a fizzy white head, light carbonation.
Had a faint nose, overcooked veggies and husks are the only aromas I care to detect.
Softly crisp, thin, watery light bodied mouthfeel, for me, poor drinkability, mainly because of taste.
Sweet grain husky and more cooked corn, but with a little sour cooked green vegetables, taste. Pretty bland tasting with a lingering sourness.
Personally, I thought this was a waste of hard earned money, even if it is cheap, a poor macro lager. This has replaced Coors as my least favorite American macro lager.

Aroma of corn, cereal malts, cider, DMS. Taste is bland, mostly unoffensive, still bad. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. If I’m drinking PA swill, it’s at least going to be a Yuengling. . obxdude10 (1558), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
