10/20/06: Pale lager from Steeler Country, had this many times in the past sampled a single for old times sake. Corny light scent, light gold pour minimal white head, crisp yet watery on the palate, typical swill taste. Blue collar beer for sure, used to be able to get this at one of my college hang outs for 50 cents a can.

I cannot stand this beer!! I’ve lived in Pittsburgh most of my life and as a result I’ve been served up this crap at many a parties. It tastes like they actually get iron in the beer. Its disgusting!!

Metal tasting. 20 years ago this made us feel like Gennese beer was premium.

Another nice, watery, underwhelming lager from the fine folks at Iron City. Love the brewery name, that’s about the best I can say for this one.

A metal bottle. Pours yellow and fizzy with a loose and unimpressive head. The nose is adjuncty. Yeast, bread, and oddly enough, I get a slight amount of fruit, but it’s not any sort of god fruit. The palate is again fizzy and harsh. I was being kind with my rating. The flavor is really weak too. immediately the yeasty light beer taste with some hints of malt liquoresque corn flakes. There’s some bitterness to this beer, but it might be from age. I didn’t like this beer, obviously. But big ups on the cool bottlecan. I wish more, and better, breweries would give this sort of format a try to preserve more delicate brews.

355ml alum. bottle. Gold colour, poor head retention, a few tiny bubbles stuck to the edge of the glass then totally vanished. Aroma was corny, a little grain. Very light in the flavour dept, weak citrus note, thin malt and corn. Thin body, average carboantion. Corny grainy clinging aftertaste. Not sure why the LCBO bothered to get this one.

Yellowish, golden piss water with a thin white foam. Smells skunked. Taste is poor malt and iron skillet. Like drinking polluted water out of the 3 rivers in Pittsburg. Stay away from this.
