slighty sweet and with just enough malt to mask most of the adjuncts. decent hop presence in the finish

Smells of randomly cheap beer, but not terrible. Taste is actually not bad. It’s drinkable... and cheap as hell. Why not? Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Just another beer that copies the regular old American swill. The new aluminum bottle really did it for me. Pale gold, lots of fizz in the short head. Lots of gas and club soda. Corn syrup and the faintest of hop. I’m so happy I get to try beers like this. Soley a number. Wow. can8ianben (904), Pasadena, California, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Aug 21, 2005 The benefit of having a pale lager in an aluminum bottle is that you know it’s not going to be a skunky pale lager. This one is alright, keep it as cold as possible and don’t pour it out. If it warms, you get more of that bad corny flavour and if you pour it out you would imediately be disappointed by the weak colour and flavour. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 13, 2005 grass and moldy cheese aroma. cremey palate, but it’s cheesy. for the most part this is grass, corn, bread, and cheese. weird. cool bottle, though--points for the aluminum beer bottle! however, this shit ain’t refreshing. it’s... a... thickish lager and i don’t like that, but it’s not bad... i just don’t know what the funk these guys were thinking when the recipe was being made! not what i expected! nimbleprop (895), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Wanna hear a good joke? Here goes.... "Iron City beer is a wonderful premium lager." Now wasn’t that funny? The pour has a fizzled out head with no retention nor lacing. It looks straw into the glass. The nose is a "spot on" trio of corn, skunks and burning tires. The flavors have lots of cheap sweetness, reminiscent of American Macro swill, with a touch of something that tries to make the hops build a more well-rounded brew. The finish doesn’t really exist, the body is sparse, the mouthfeel is watery with no texture. If anything separates this from a cheap macro, it’s by a thin margin. This is quite honestly a marketing ploy..... in the "cool" insulated metal bottles. Oh yeah, remember my joke at your next party. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
