It’s of course not great, but it *is* underrated. From Pennsylvania! My dad’s friend brought it down. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 27, 2006 I remembered this much worse than today. I had it in the can years ago, bottle today. A slight caramel taste, easy to drink, not the worst out there. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. I used to drink this frequently back in my PA days, but I found it in FL so heres my rating. Clear straw colored pour with a decent white head. Aroma is mostly just grainy with a little hop presence. Has a grainy malty flavor, a little bit like rice crispies. Not great but alot better than the big guys AB, Coors, and MGD. Non offensive and easy drinking. Derek881 (502), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 7, 2007 An underrated and underappreciated historical Pittsburgh brew. The aroma is mostly hops, maybe some light malt, and a bit of adjuncts. The appearance is a dark yellow-gold color with a moderate, bubbly white head. Taste is bitter and somewhat sour, with a hearty iron effect. Thin, somewhat oily, and only light carbonation. A great cheap beer that continues to stand the test of time. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 13, 2008 bottle. clear yellow sparkling body. averag white head (quickly dissapating). aromas of corn (actually a cheapness). flavor is sweet. not good. flemdawg (485), Naples, Florida, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 29, 2004 Shared this can with Silphium at thedm and hotsuff’s place. Um, thanks for this one Matt. Golden in color with a monstous initial white head that died to nothing very quickly. A hint of malts and hops in the aroma along with a touch of fruitiness. But the corn and other "good" stuff dominates. Ditto for the flavor, corn, rice, and the mearest of hops and malts. I could actually drink more than one of these at a time, but I don’t think I would respect myself in the morning. SJP (483), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 18, 2002 This really is a horrible beer. The only reason I gave it a decent overall score is because I’ve grown used to drinking it with my father, a Pittsburg native. Outside of nostalgia and the amusing cans, there is no reason to drink this one. Kalli (480), Falun, Sweden
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Dec 27, 2003 This stuff looks very carbonated. Nothing special otherwise, just another average looing lager. Aroma reminds me of hops mixed with detergent. Not pleasant tasting really, but not nearly as watery as I expected. Not that I it had my thinking malt or hops...
Taste is strangely stale. No ingredient list on the can, but I'm guessing lots of corn and by now I'm smelling it too.
