Smells like fresh cut grass thats a little wet and sticks to your sneakers. Flavor is bad, kind of like the wet grass it smelled like. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/20 | Apr 7, 2005 I threw this in with a few trades when the bottle/can first came out, cause it looked pretty cool. To those that got this from me, I appologize. Taste was nothing but corn. Not only that, but it didn’t even have much head retention if any. Total drainpour. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Aluminum bottle. White small head that mostly dissipated, fine-medium sized bubbles, fair lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow hue. Corn aroma and a somewhat sweet malt flavor that wasn’t all that great. Tingly mouthfeel and light body. Uninteresting. TheBeerGod (3171), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 8, 2004 Gold body with a small white head. Aroma is sort of corn syrupy with some bready notes. Taste is malted with more corn and lightly hopped. Crisp finish and mouthfeel due to the hops and carbonation. Not as bad as expected, but nothing worth going out of your way to find. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 29, 2004 Typical cheap retro lager flavor, appearance, aroma and palate. Sad that this is what was dealt to the masses back in the day. Nothing to distinguish itself from Pabst, Schmidt, Hamms etc. Light golden appearance, tinny taste and aroma. No real malt or hop presence. Can imagine myself hoisting a few of these after shucking steeel though, would not want flavor to get in the way of quenching the thirst! Glad to see that the name was kept around. daknole (3029), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Ok good, then I wont. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 8, 2005 Updated: Jan 26, 2006In the bottle at Green Life Grocery, Asheville, NC. I was so psyched to score IC on my NC trip TC (This Christmas). I was first introduced to Iron City and its horror-child counterpart, IC Light, when I would roadtrip to Pittsburgh to watch my beloved Reds kick some Buc at Three Rivers. Sometimes you just have to wax nostalgic about an old friend. I was once so crunked on this stuff by the 9th Inning that I almost forgot to yell obsenities at Barry Bonds. Iron City is Pittsburgh. She ain’t too pretty, but she sure can count.
UPDATE: 1/25/6 Just had my first Iron City from the "Canottle." The packaging is now way better than the beer. No one at the table could dent this can it was so thick. Iron City is still pale yellow, still grainy and watery, still light, still benign. PLAY BALL! shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany
