Aug 16, 2005 Aluminum bottle. White small head that mostly dissipated, fine-medium sized bubbles, fair lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow hue. Corn aroma and a somewhat sweet malt flavor that wasn’t all that great. Tingly mouthfeel and light body. Uninteresting.

Mar 8, 2005 Kind of like Budweiser, but kind of good. Has some flavor, a teeny bit of hops and malt, but less carbonation (thank god). I’d recommend it if I weren’t from Cleveland or it weren’t from Steeler country. The aluminum bottles are just cool. Now why can’t I get Yuengling here, less than two hours from P’burgh?

Feb 3, 2007 12 oz. bottle via trade with Linus_Stick - Pours a clear golden color with a half finger thick white head. Very light carbonation. Has a sweet bread, grain malt aroma. Has a slightly bitter sweet grain flavor. No unpleasant aftertaste. Light to medium body. Not bad for an American Pale Lager. Much better than any BMC. Thanks Alan.

Jun 27, 2009 Pint. Pours clear yellow/gold with a small head. No lacing. Nose is weak..typical corn lager aroma. Taste is actually better than i expected. Very inoffensive, adjuncts are not overwhelming or pissy. I would take this any day of Bud, pabst, Coors, Miller or any of the typical crap macros.

Nov 28, 2006 Being from Pittsburgh, this beer scores higher for that reason. I can’t be un-bias when I say this is the best pale lager around (not that that says alot). This is a blue collar beer that tastes great in quantity while saying "yinz" and "dahntahn".

Aug 14, 2007 Aug 2007. An enjoyable treat from the east. Thanks Uncle Dave. Not bad for a mass produced beer, better then a Bud/Coors/Miller. Not available in Montana; and I like to have something from Pittsburgh when watching the pre-season.

Apr 26, 2008 Grassy nose, some cornmeal. Golden color with a decent head. Bitter stale biscuit flavor--not necessarily a bad thing. Nicely carbonated, with a not bad herbal sourdough finish.

Jul 26, 2006 The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear golden straw colored beverage with a small fizzy white head that was completely gone in 60 seconds and left no lacing on the glass. The aroma was somewhat complex and clean. It presented bread dough, notes of banana and straw with a hint of hops in the background. The body was light and refreshing with lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started off lightly sweet with hints of banana. The finish is rather short. The sweetness lingers through the finish with no crispness or bitter aftertaste. Not as bad as I was led to believe.
