Beer was straw colored. Very thin with no body whatsoever. Tasted somewhat of rice. Very little bitterness. This beer may be missing a few key elements. Like, say, hops and barley. It's like drinking bad alcoholic tapwater. I remember trying this both on tap and in bottles a year or so ago and thinking that it wasn't half bad for the price. It's gone way downhill since then and I would be embarrassed to be seen drinking this weak, girly swill - let alone brewing it. My wife brought home a 6 pack and I ended up dumping several bottles down the drain. I doubt that there are even enough hops and barley in this bottle to qualify as a beer. Maybe it's really sake, what with all of the rice. But the label is misleading because this is not beer. sdfink (30), Aiken, South Carolina, USA

UPDATE: My first rating was from a glass. From a bottle, this stuff is absolutely horrid. All the above nothing coupled with a hint of vegetal sewage. Unfortunately, the bottle is the best part of the experience. Virtually indistinguishable from your standard commercial American lagers. At least it has a decent amber coloring in lieu of the traditional Bud-piss yellow hue common to this kind of beer. weisinator (66), USA

I had this in the dorms: a roommate from Pittsburgh brought some back after spring break. I won't go out of my way to find it. It's pretty bland. That's before I had any other beer. Now I know better. However, I do drink it when I return to the Burgh'. I want to do my part to help the local economy. A little more flavorful than the mass produced lagers. rkearney (35), Amherst, New York, USA
