Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of an English bitter, you're hit with a wonderful malt flavor and distinct hop character from a generous amount of Kent Goldings.

Had at the west chester location. I thought this was pretty good, they also offered a cask version at the time, but the difference in taste wasn’t much. a bit sweet, with maybe a tiny bit of hops. good body.

On tap at New Wales. Orange/amber color, with a white head. Malty aroma, with some hops as well. Flavor is malt, along with some fruit.

10oz draft, Phoenixville location. Pours a clear copper under a foamy off-white head that retained as a thin creamy film. Lots of heavy lacing. Nice slightly sweet aroma with some subtle perfumy and floral hops(EKG mostly). Similar malt bill as their APA. Nice soft rounded flavor. All the soft floral delicate hoppiness appropriate for the style. Light doughy and crackery maltiness, slightly sweet on the finish. Mouthfeel is soft with nice light carbonation and a slightly creamy texture. Fairly light bodied. Overall, a nice ESB or light English Pale Ale. Subtle yet not thin or watery.

Draft at the West Chester location, July 2006. The color is like polished copper with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very light, what is there is malty with hints of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet with a floral hoppiness combined with roasted bread, caramel, and toffee, leading to a dry nicely bitter end, where the caramel lingers around.

For what it was worth this wasn’t bad, but once again they talk this up alot. It had the nice floral nose and bitter malt flavor as expected. The aftertaste on this amber pour just didn’t suit me, but bitters aren’t always my favorite anyways.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a clear, light coppery color. There was not much of a head on it at all. The aroma is a bit light. It is a touch floral and a touch malty. Not too much else comes through. It has a dry and somewhat bitter taste. Slight aftertaste, but I can’t quite pin it down.
