The color is like polished copper with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very light, what is there is malty with hints of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet with a floral hoppiness combined with roasted bread, caramel, and toffee, leading to a dry nicely bitter end, where the caramel lingers around. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Dense white head lasts atop the dark straw to gold shade. Appetizing balance of malt and hops in the nose remind of a hoppy English pale ale, where the floral, grassy and leafy hops meet their match in the shape of cerealic and toasted caramel malts. The growing citrusy consideration never becomes obliterating, rather evolving into a peppery, powdery nuance, pairing gently with the reminiscent flavours. Medium body, engaging carbonation. Stellar. hopscotch (5510), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2003 The color is the very definition of amber.
The nose is of an active brewery's boil. Lots of wet malt and damp straw.
The flavor would be nondescript if not for some light notes of butterscotch, hay and wood.
Light-bodied with a fizzy, watery mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish.
