Commercial Description:
Traditional German strong lager. A full bodied, distinct malt character dominates the flavor and aroma up front and has a clean finish.

Dark brown in color with a fair size head. Roasty-sweet aroma with some fruit and other sweet scents. Taste is of high quality roasted malts, but it falls a bit short of being really good. Nice brew.

Clear dark brown, obviously not a doppel. Nose of chocolate, taste sweet, malty, chocolate, moderate hops, but balance provided by moderate acid. Overall impression is actually quite simple for a bock. Enjoyable but not remarkable.

On tap, GABF 02: Huge malt chocolate aroma, clear brown color with a good head. Creamy mouthfeel, long ending. This is what beer is about.
