Deep brown in color, this German-style dark lager will have chocolate malt sweetness, balanced bitterness, and a clean dry finish.

Nov. 2006 - A somewhat nice take on a somewhat boring style. Dark pour with thin head and little lacing. Aroma of roast and sweet malts are strong from the glass. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Flavor of dark roasted malts over a really sweet malt backbone. Decent.

Had a pint of this while my wife and son were across the street at Chuck E Cheese. Dark brown with no head. Nice roasted aroma with some chocolate notes in the finish. Smooth and easy drinkin. Pretty good beer.

This is a good beer! Pours jet black, no head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Flavor matched the aroma with a smooth balance to the bitterness. Body was a bit heavy for a lager. Could drink these all day.

For a lager this one is good. Poured a dark brown color with okay lacing and thin head. Aroma was roasted some chocolate malts. Flavor was much the same nice sweet finish to it. Good beer.

Ran about four pints of these. Poured dark brown color, some mahoganey mixed in there, thin tan head, ok lacing. The aroma was rich chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor followed suit, nothing really fancy, some licorice mixed in with a slightly nutty and semi-dry finish to help balance out the maltiness. Mouthfeel was full for the style, pretty smooth. Drinkable like a porter, but this pushed the limits of dunkel/schwarz hybrid beer, imo.
