Commercial Description:
"Listen up you primitive screw heads!" Alt is German brown ale. Sticke alt is big strong German brown ale. Boom Sticke is really big German pumpkin brown ale brewed with really big German pumpkins. This beer’s aroma is filled with hints of roast melon and a touch of seasonal spice. Deep mahogany in color, boom Sticke has lush flavors of molasses, caramel, bittersweet chocolate, and toasty graham cracker. Great before a tough night of zombie chasing.

Clear dark amber color with a frothy tan head. Big peanut butter, cinnamon roll molasses roasted pumpkin seed aromas. Smooth medium body. Huge sweet nutty flavors of again roasted pumpkin seed, pecan pie, with cinnamon, toasted caramel, dark sweet toffee, earthy molasses, fall spices and mild pumpkin flesh. Awesome brew here, the best O’ fest for me at the 2009 Elysian GPBF.

Draft at Iron Hill West Chester. Poured bronze in color with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate malts, spices, caramel. Tastes of caramel malts, chocolate, cinnamon and all spice. Not a bad selection, but maybe a little too spiced for my liking.

Blackish / brownish color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, pumpkin, starchy, spices, earthy yeast, and a bit of smoke. Taste of chocolate, light spices, roast, earth, some caramel, burnt toast, and a dry finish.

Tap at IH WC during Gathering of the Gourds 2009. Pours a brownish amber with a medium creamy off white head that laced. The pumpkin spices were toned down in both the aroma and flavor on this one. The sticke alt qualities were coming through in the beer though. Both flavor and aroma had lots of caramel, some chocolate notes, nuts, vanilla and cinnamon.

Maroon body with ring of head. Cinnamon, hints of other spices, and malty body. Almost over-spiced flavor, showcasing traditional pumpkin spices and extra doses of cinnamon.
