Pours a mud colored brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of fruity ale esters. Medium bodied with creamy and chewy texture, soft carbonation. Flavor of wet grains, brown sugar, and plums- with residual sweetness. Tobacco and small amount of pepperiness on the finish- with detectable alcohol that blends in. This has some phenols that are similar to ones found in Belgian quads. Interesting kmweaver (2212), Sparks, Nevada, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draft @ BCTC. Pours a dark, murky brown color with golden edges; thin off-white head. Tea, brown sugar, basic wet malts and cereal in the aroma; kind of bland, cereal-dominated. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy caramel and brown sugar maltiness upfront; nicely chewy, dense maltiness; toasty grains; slightly heavy and dense on the palate; reasonably big scottish rendition. Lengthy finish: brown sugar, toasted malts, cola, and dried dark fruits.
