Commercial Description:
The Cannibal's big brother. Strong Belgian golden ale loaded up with hops. Spicy and tropical fruit notes from the unique yeast strain mingle with the citrusy aromas of the American hops. A meeting of the nations!

On tap at the West Chester location. Poured a medium golden color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of fruitiness, floral, citrus, and a little spicy. Tastes of sweet apples, caramel, floral, and fruity. Light alcohol in the finish.

bctc. Sample pour was mostly clear very refined look to it- light gold with a thin which head. Aroma is very sweet- light caramel, syrupy artificial sweetness, and lots of alcohol and a spicy hop character. More alcohol and hot fusels in the flavor, fruity esters, white wine-like and even some very light high abv mead- honey hints and more wierd phenols and other high alcohol madness. Ech.

Draft @ BCTC 2008. Pours a clear copper color, thick and viscous, with a small off-white head on top. Big syrupy candy sugar nose, some light fruity noted, some alcohol as well... strong and boozy, comes across as another big, hot, messy, strong Belgian golden. Flavor is sypry and oily candy sugar and red apples, sweet throughout, gets worse over time, with some fruity melon and lemon flavors showing up at times. A lot going on but it seems kind of messy, and the sweetness gets out of control. Tangy honey in the finish, overall decent enough.

[BCTC 08] Poured a lightly hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, coriander, orange peel, toffee malts, toasted dough, floral hops, citrus fruits, and some alcohol as well. Taste of more citrus fruits, honey, toasted dough, candy sugar, with a grassy hoppiness, some tropical fruits, and moderate alcohol in the finish.

Draft @ BCTC. Pour a clear, golden-orange color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Loads of earthy, citrus, and dusty hoppiness in the aroma; mild astringency; oranges, resins, and crisp, dusty bitterness. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: resiny oranges and citrus and earthy bitterness; slightly rough at the edges; big, sticky, generous hops in a messy beer overall. Lengthy finish: earthy, citrus, and mineral bitterness; sweet with a bit of toasted maltiness.

On tap at IH Phoenixville... Appears a deep amber toned gold with a small, white head that quickly fades into a mild cap and thick collar. Spotty lacing is left all around the glass. Smell - Holy schneikes! Rich grain, caramel, toffee, and citrusy, earthy hops. This is precisely what I was hoping for in this beer. Taste mimics the aroma with a punch of ripened fruits, spicy phenols with hints of plastic, bready yeast, and sugar. This sort of reminds me of a superb, sugar coated banana sprinkled with apricot dust and fermented with the Unibroue yeast, then dry hopped until ripe. Mouthfeel is full bodied, sugary, phenolic, lip smacking, with syrupy complexities. This one is a sipper but it’s worth every last, luscious sip. More, please!

On tap at Pville for Mug Club 08 night. Pours a lightly hazy amber/orange with golden notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma of lemon zest, orange, American hops, Belgian yeast esters, tropical fruits, yet spicy with hints of candi sugar. Flavor of tropical fruits, American hops, orange, tangerines, light Belgian yeast spiciness with a bunch of esters. Alcohol well hidden, although it did come across as a bit sweet and lightly sticky. Boy am I a sucker for the strong Belgian Ales with a boat load of American aroma hops!

On draft in West Chester. I ordered a mug, so unfortunately I can’t comment on the appearance except off while sticky head that left lacing on the sides. Aroma of orange peel, floral hops, and a bit of alcohol. Taste was sweet and had some nice fruity esters, oranges, with a solid base of citrus and floral hops. The finished showed the mild spices and the alcohol warming. Note: It’s a good sipper, so I don’t recommend getting a full 24oz. mug.
