Courtesy of hopdog. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of cerries, dy malt, citrus, earthy. Tastes of molasses, citrus, some tarte hints, cognac, oaky. Excellent!

Draft at IHP. Pours ruby with off-white/pink head. Nose is red winey fruit, oaky, yeasty spice, earthy peaty notes, ans some rock sugary malt. The taste is fruity, cbherry and red winey at first but later the oak, earthy, and I dare say cognacy notes come through, but the red wine and berry fruit flavor and aromas always stay there, and the other flavors come and go. A very unique beer, and another that bolsters my belief thet the Iron Hill Mug Club card is worth it’s weight in gold.

Draught at IH Phoenixville: Aroma of Cabernet, spices, tannin, oak, yeast, and wood. Poured deep amber/copper/brown in color with a medium-sized, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of Cabernet, oak, spices, wood, bourbon, alcohol, tannin, and light sour apples. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Tannic, oak, and light spice finish.

On tap at Pville location during a MUG Club event. Pours a deeper amber with a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of cherries, vinous, dark fruits, some spicy notes, vanilla, oak and cabernet wine like notes. Flavor of vanilla, cherry, wood, again vinuous and lightly tart. This was very well done and steps above the Bourbon Dubbel they had on.

Poured a hazy, red brown color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, dried fruits, spices, vanilla oak, cabernet, and a bit of cocoa. Taste of raisins, sherry, vanilla, dry oak, with sweeter cabernet notes, and a bit of tart grape in the finish.
