| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Pours a dark golden amber/light coppery color with some golden orange hues when held to a light source and a two finger frothy white head that has very good retention, only slowly settling into a lasting cap that leaves sporadic patches of soapy lacing.
Caramel malt aroma with hints of biscuit, slight hazelnut and subtle hops.
Very light bodied and watered down. Easy drinking but mostly because it lacks much body and/or flavor. Caramel malt notes with some biscuit and almost no hop presence. This beer is very one dimensional and bland with a very watery dumbed down flavor. The cask conditioning has mellowed this beer out considerably, making it very drinkable but also terribly boring. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Draft at Maple Shade. Poured a light amber with a small lacing of white head. Aroma was mellow with some notes of nutts, toffee and grains. Flavor is the same but the body is sooo smooth from the nitro pour that I could drink this all day long. At 3.7% I really can drink this all day long!!! EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA

Definitely nitroed. Fairly grainy malts, Smooth amber and caramel malt, a little nut and spice toward the end. Watery body, low bitterness, soft and woody, highly sessionable! hopdog (5561), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Nitro at Phoenixville. Poured a medium golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of graininess, very lighlty spicy, and fruity. Tastes follow suit. At 3.7% and considering its drinkability, I can see it living up to its name as a Session Ale. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Draft at P-ville. Poured deep gold with fluffy white head. Nose was pale malt, spicy white peppery notes, mild hops, and mild grainy notes. Flavor was crisp, a well balanced match of pale malt, hops, peppery hints, and some fruity notes. Solid, and a beer I would have growlered had Bourbon Dubbel not been available.
