TampaBrew (746), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 9, 2009 POured red. Nose is fresh berries, mild tartness, apple, wood and red wine. Flavor is sweet and sour raspberries, dry wood, vinegar and funk. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2009 Reddish pour. aroma is tart and full of sour raspberries. Flavor tastes just like the little seeds inside the raspberry fruit with some lactic tartness and vinegar. Good beer. fiver29 (703), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2009 Bottle shared by Eric. Thanks Eric! Pours murky light red color with white head. Aroma is acetone, raspberry, and more acid. Has a moldy course mouthfeel. Flavor follows the nose and is just a tongue bruiser of an ale. The best way to describe the flavor here is my palate was just raped by some acetone and a vinegar like blast sets in. With some raspberry on the side. What a crazy beer. Thanks again for sharing! yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Sep 2, 2009 Grapey red ghetto juice color with no head. Aroma of sweet raspberries. Nice body and nice effervescence. Flavor is smooth and sweet with a great level of tartness. A little acidic and really nice to drink. Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate musty oak and sweet and tart raspberries. It pours a cloudy pinkish-brown with a small pink head. The flavor starts with light sweet raspberry. There’s some faint oak in the background. There is a lot of tart raspberries that come in the finish along with some light vinegar. Medium bodied with mild carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Aug 4, 2009 Raspberries all over this beer. Flavor, Aroma, even the color of the head. Acidic tart in the finish. Very good. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 18, 2009 @dmacs UFC100 Gathering–750ml bottle–pours no head and dark amber color. Aroma is boozy, dark fruit-cherry, alcohol, raw cinnamon, varnish. Taste is sour/tart dark fruit-cherry/raspberry, medium malt, alcohol warming, vinegar, secondary hops bitre, acidic. dmac (1420), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 16, 2009 Bottle. Pours a purple super thick body that is hazy and did I mention thick, with no head at all. Aroma was phenomenal with tons of tart raspberry and slight floral notes. Very much downhill from here. The body is so tart and sour that it seems HOT, I mean hot sauce HOT that it hurts your throat from the sourness. The flavor is pretty much all raspberry with nothing else noticed. I did try this one late and perhaps it was way to warm but I can’t get over how much the sour/tartness actually hurt my throat. If you love sour to the point of actually physical pain then try this.
