| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Bottle. Pours a purple super thick body that is hazy and did I mention thick, with no head at all. Aroma was phenomenal with tons of tart raspberry and slight floral notes. Very much downhill from here. The body is so tart and sour that it seems HOT, I mean hot sauce HOT that it hurts your throat from the sourness. The flavor is pretty much all raspberry with nothing else noticed. I did try this one late and perhaps it was way to warm but I can’t get over how much the sour/tartness actually hurt my throat. If you love sour to the point of actually physical pain then try this. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Bottle from Wilmington. Pours turbid ruby/magenta with off-pinkish head, floaties. Nose is tart raspberry, earthy, lactic, oaky, and sour mashy aromas. The flavor is tart raspberry, very lactic and acetic, but with a lot of earthy woody notes intermingling with the fruit. A must try if you are ever at IHW, and worth every penny. fonefan (11630), VestJylland, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 4, 2009 No head, fully hazy, deep red-ruby beer. Again lots of acetic acid, smelling like raspberry vinegar. Taste proves, alas, that this IS raspberry vinegar, acetic acid abounding, this is no longer drinkable. There is (real) fruit there, but the acetic is just too omnipresent to allow for subtleties. Burning. This is no longer drinkable. Sorry, because the fruit is also unmistakable. this is the muddiest damned beer i’ve ever seen... it looks like someone poured a raspberry milkshake into a framboise and stirred in some raspberry puree. it actually stained the inside of my glass a pinkish brown hue!
it smells incredible!... fo’ realz raspberries, stems, seeds, dirt, mineral water, lemon juice, grass, wood, yeasty spice and a little bit of musty funky grain.
the flavor is a beautiful mix of everything in the aroma... there is an underlying fruity sweetness with an intense sourness which takes over and puckers my cheeks. this is definitely the fruitiest and most well balanced of the bunch yet it is still bracingly tart.
the body has some thickness and oomph to it while maintaining the sharpness. delicious! 9/5/9/5/18/4.6 KimJohansen (7049), Copenhagen V, Denmark
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Hazy deep red with a medium off white head. Sweet and very sour with sour berries. Extreme sour and somewhat sweet flavour with loads of fresh sour berries, (currants), lacto, barnyard, brett, and barnyard. Very fresh fruits and an extreme sourness. Finished very sour. This is a master piece! bierkoning (6050), La Tropica, Netherlands
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Corked bottle from TheEpeeist, thanks! Pinkish purple color. Raspberry and vinegar in the aroma. A strong sourness eased down a bit by lots of raspberry fruit and lemon. Full bodied with some leathery notes. Fairly dry, only the fruit provides some sweetness. Long aftertaste with oak. Perfectly acceptable as an alternative for framboise lambic.
