Bottle shared by bockyhorsey at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Cloudy deep reddish color pour with a thin head. Nice raspberry aroma and flavor. Also some yeast, sourness and funk, but this one is really all about the berries. Delicious! Thanks again Bill!

750ml bottle shared by Bockyhorsey at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours a murky maroon with a thin head. The nose is sour raspberry and malt. The taste is sour raspberries, vinegar and light funk. You can really taste the fresh raspberries in this. My favorite of the 4 Iron Hills. Thanks Bill!

Shared by bockyhorsey at hellbillys place. Pours a reddish pink with a white head. Aroma is REAL raspberries, we’re talking the earthy seeds and berries with a touch of dirt in the aroma. Flavor is sour raspberry, raspberry seeds, a touch of earth, very fresh and real fruit taste extends into this beer better than anything i’ve ever tried. Finish is acidic and tart real raspberry goodness. What a great framboise.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Miver. Pours an almost clear dark red with a tiny off-white head. Distinctly sour berry-like nose. Medium body, a little low in carbonation with intensely fresh raspberry accents. Has an underlying sweetness yet is intensely and burningly sour. Very refreshing. 010509

Bottled. An unclear red beer with yeast sediment floating around under a lazing beige head. The aroma is acidic with notes of wood and berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of red currant and other sour berries, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle #17 at Papsø’s blindtasting. Muddy red brown coloured with a medium sized off white head. Fruity aroma of cherries, marziapan and cherry stones with notes of wood. Acidic flavour of wood, berries, glue and vanilla with notes of marzipan. Tart finish. Nice.
