Dec 31, 2008 375mL from IH Media. Opens with a minimal pop from the cork. Pours deep, hazy maroon, with a small ring of white bubbles. Nice aroma, fairly tart, with fresh raspberry, sour cherry, and oak. Flavor is tart, with raspberry and blackberry, black pepper, oak and balsamic vinegar. Sharp, acetic finish. Not bad, but I enjoyed the Kriek a little more.

**Summary** - Thanks to Mike for cracking open this gem. I know more American brewers are trying their hands at lambics but only a few are accessible without growler fills. Having sampled this I can only imagine what they have done with the rest of the series. Hopefully they are on par with this version.
**Aroma / Appearance** - Semitransparent red with some sparkling characteristics I really liked the look of this one. Tart and dry the raspberries stood out strongly. This was not the most intense lambic but it does the style proud.
**Flavor / Palate** - Sweet, freshly pureed raspberries fill the mouth before drying out the tongue. The bone dry finish is pretty intense and gets your attention. As fabulous as this beer is make sure you have friends around to share it with. This one will give you grief if you tried to finish it off alone.

Dec 24, 2008 750ml bottle, courtesy of Swolf3, big thanks Steven. Dark red pour with no head. Very nice raspberry aroma, I lingered over the glass for awhile. Damn, this was pretty sour, nice raspberry flavor though. This could be real good in a year or more.

Dec 15, 2008 Bottle, shared by miketd. This puppy was tart with a huge raspberry aroma. delicate raspberry flavor with some earthy undertones. A very nice beer that requires antacids.

Dec 8, 2008 Updated: Dec 17, 2008Pours dark red, purpleish with no head...or very little. Aroma is huge with rasberry. This nose will rival any fruit beer. Flavor is very sour rasberry and hugely acitic. Also has notes of wood and funk. This may need some time in the bottle, but it was enjoyed.
