Smelled of corn sweetner, wet dog, cereal grain, and a bit of spice. Medium bodied with alcohol warmth. I tasted clove, banana, cinnamon, and raw alcohol. Imagine a pumpkin infused vodka with too much added spice. alobar (1020), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a murky copper color, capped with a small off-white head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Flavor is reminiscent of pumpkin pie filling, with nutmeg, cinnamon, other spices, brown sugar and alcohol. Full bodied and hearty. Spices hang out for a long finish. This was much more impressive than the non-imperial pumpkin beer which was also on tap. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Tap at IH North Wales. Deep, hazy orange color with good lacing. Aroma of pie spices, yeasty cloves and a bit of alcohol. The initial spicy yeast taste gives way to the pumpkin pie spices in a very enjoyable way. Spicy-sweet finish. Pretty substantial bodied. The alcohol was fairly well hidden. Kudos to the brewers for another great beer.
