BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 4, 2009 Brewed in the USA......(Kryptonite) Pours amber in color with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, malts and hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there is a slight pineapple flavor. Mouthfeel is dry and finishes with a slight bitterness. Overall, I would say it’s pretty enticing. bvc (227), Kenmore, Washington, USA Mar 14, 2009 Growler courtesy of hopdog from growler swapper v.63.29, thanks man! Growler was filled almost to the very top of the growler but let out a nice little hiss as opened it up. Pours a dark orange amber color with some off white head. Nose is malty and citrus peach nose that is just yummy smelling. As I really dig my nose in, I pick up some piney resin hoppiness deep down. Super nice and drinkable DIPA that has all the flavors working and is really balanced. Not overly bitter and more on the sweet side, which is what I like. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Mar 14, 2009 Growler. Thanks, BVC! Pours a dark and somewhat hazy burnished amber. Dense, creamy off-white head. Huge pineapple nose. Creamy medium body. Some light doughy malts on the mid-palate but mostly pineapple and peach. Beautifully balanced and drinkable, especially for having so much yummy hoppy sweetness. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 5, 2009 Aka Kryptonite. On draft at the NW location Pours a hazy caramel amber with a medium beige-oft white head. Aroma of tangy citrus, grapefruit, pine and hops. Taste of tangy citrus with a strong grapefruit presence. TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 28, 2008 On tap in Lancaster as Kryptonite. Poured a clear fizzy copper with foam head and lacing. Hops and malts with a caramel sweet bitterness. Hops in the front with this and a dry sweet hops bitterness at the end. Not a fan of the style but refreshing admire the craft, nice tour of the brewery from the head brewer in Lancaster - Thanks! Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 9, 2008 AKA : Kryptonite Double IPA draft at Lancaster location. It poured bright amber in color with a thick frothy and sticky beige head. The head left a very nice lacing on the glass. The aroma is of floral and piney hops with notes of a caramel sweetness. Taste of sweet, floral, piney hops prominent. The malt backbone is nice and it lets the hop taste speak for itself without being too thin. For the hop shortage, Iron Hill managed to nail out an awesome IIPA. Very nice. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 28, 2008 North Wales-draught. Clear amber color with a thick white head. Aroma of pine, hops, and some citrus. Bitter ending following a smooth balance upfront.
