Pours an extremely cloudy orange body with a thick merangue-like beige head that seems to go no where. Oranges and sweet malts in the nose. Starts off very sweet with lots of oranges but finishes with more of a bitter grapefruit flavor. Solid malt backbone and lots of spices through-out. Very good IIPA! EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2005 On tap @ the North Wales Location. Listed as their Holiday Ale. Not sure if this is the same as their board for up-coming beers lists an Imperial IPA (I’ll clarify next time I’m there). Poured a dark copper color with a small tan head. Aromas and tastes of citrus (oranges) and malt. Some caramel and some light spices. Nice malty balance to a light bitter taste. Lots of lacing left on the glass. The taste is that of malt through and through out. Ends very nicely with the perfect bitter. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Aroma is extremely citrusy and hoppy. Flavor is quite bitter, but balanced by an overwhelming grapefruit character. The finish is dry, sticky, and long lasting, coating every tastebud. Great on its own or as a counterbalance to the chipotle wings. sloth (1677), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2004 Had @ the Newark DE. pub. Served in a 12 oz. pilsener glass. Waitress said it was 7.5% ABV. Small offwhite head that faded quickly, some thin spotty lacing. Hazy orange/copper color. Yeasty, hoppy nose. Some citrus, piney notes. Med/full body, oily palate. Lotsa hops, grapefruit, with a light malt background. Fairly dominant hop flavors. Finish is medium sweet, slightly fruity, yeasty. Alc. was well covered. obxdude10 (1559), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 3, 2004 Also called Holiday Ale at the West Chester location, had absoutely no problem with the beer or the service there, fantastic IPA, dark amber in color, nice fluffy white head that laced around the glass, lots of hoppiness in the body, bitterness all over the place, excellent malt profile to support the body as well, the beer was that hoppy that it felt like the oils from the hops were dripping off my tounge, dry & bitter finish, very excellent IPA
