| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2005 On tap @ the North Wales Location. Listed as their Holiday Ale. Not sure if this is the same as their board for up-coming beers lists an Imperial IPA (I’ll clarify next time I’m there). Poured a dark copper color with a small tan head. Aromas and tastes of citrus (oranges) and malt. Some caramel and some light spices. Nice malty balance to a light bitter taste. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Taste was sweet and fruity, with very low bittering hops. Hops do not have the impact an IIPA should have. Cask Newark 04 The most flavorful yet, shows some signs of life, but the hops are still way too subdued for an Imperial. Light fruitiness. TomDecapolis (3173), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a translucent golden amber with an average creamy off white head that left lacing. Aroma of very fresh dry hops, orange, caramel, sweat malts and very fruity. Flavor of pine, caramel, floral, grapefruit, nice bitterness and some candy sweetness. Well done IIPA. after4ever (2762), Brier, Washington, USA

Dense, creamy off-white head. Huge pineapple nose. Creamy medium body. Some light doughy malts on the mid-palate but mostly pineapple and peach. Beautifully balanced and drinkable, especially for having so much yummy hoppy sweetness. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2006 "Kryptonite", draught at North Wales. Served way too cold. Clear metallic golden-orange body with a frothy, off-white head. Fresh, resinous hop aroma with mango and sweet candy malt notes. Fresh hop flavors, some syrupy sweetness, and medium bitterness. Finish is very clean and lacks the assertiveness of a great DIPA. Somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Like many Iron Hill beers, this is solid, but the overall impression here is both too sweet and too clean to greatly interest me.
