The flavor is a lot of sweet fruit, clementines, grapefruit, some berries and a solid malt backbone. Not over the top, but a very good IPA. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2005 North Wales location. Clear orange-copper body with an off-white head and filmy lacing. Aroma is toasty with prominent buttery diacetyl. Hop aroma seems weaker than in the Ironbound Ale. Fruity flavor like sweet berries and a touch of caramel malt. Fairly sweet initially but medium-high, coarse bitterness finishes it dry. A fairly basic IPA. Needs more aroma hops.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2005 Pours hazy deep copper with ruby menisci and off-white head. Aroma of hops, caramel malt, iced tea. Tastes British aley, with a subdued hop finish, and some caramel malt and a dry finish, with some definite tannins. Smooth finish. Earlier Rating: 11/3/2004 Total Score: 3.5 A very good, although not elite, IPA. I’m partial to IPAs, and this one did most things right. Very quaffable. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Aroma is light, mildly hoppy and somewhat sour. Flavor is of bitter hops and not much else, with little maltiness to even it out. Looks good, but falls short. hopdog (5604), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Light hoppy aroma with malts. Sweet tasting with a very light bitter finish. Neither balanced nor bitter enough. This version of an IPA did nothing for me and I would pass on it in the future.
