| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2008 My Bottom Line:
This solid American Pale Ale’s citrusy and earthy hop ramifications are grounded in a sturdy caramel malt base, leading to a prolonged earthy, resinous hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the dark amber.
-This was more drinkable and as flavorful as their Scrooge IPA.
-Most Iron Hill beers are exceptionally well malted, I find.
-Balance is achieved throughout and the proud flavor profile is quite transparent.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Cask version in Phoenixville: This one poured a clear amber color with a big, thick off-white head. It leaves a lot of lacing. There was a bit of grapefruit to the nose, as well as a bit of spice. It is served at the proper temperature for a cask. The taste was medium bitter, with a bit of the grapefruit coming through. Decent body. Nice. redlight (1487), Winter Park, Florida, USA
