| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2008 (On tap in Lancaster) Wheaty, rich,a bit sweet and a bit sour, very fruity without being too estery. A totally different category from the indescribably awful Hefeweizen brewed by this same brewery. Enjoyable, and moderately complex. Miver (566), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2007 Iron Hill Hercules at North Wales. Dark brown body with a light haze and spritzy, root beer quality to the head. Prominent notes of chocolate, banana bread, and clove. Makes me think of chocolate wheat malt. Has an additional note of raisins. Notable residual sweetness. Solid, full-flavored and interesting weizen bock.

Aroma is very sweet with some caramel, banana, spices and sweet, yet powerful bready malts. Taste is a full-bodied mix of bready-wheat malts, sweet bananas, dried cherries. Smooth, yet bold. I’m gonna have to put this up against my previous favorite American W-Bock from Ramstein and see which one wins........
