Bottle from the Wilmington location. Pours a really clear rose with a thin white head, great lacing. A looker. Pretty wild nose with sour cherries, brett, some vinegar must, and a higher lactic sourness. Really soft in the mouth. Quite sour, cherries and strawberries. Vinegar touch is somewhat off-putting, but not nearly as bad as with the Lambic de Hill. Nicely done, but I just cannot get into the vinegar profile in this. Others may dig it more.

375ml Bottle: Aroma of tart cherries, funk, barnyard, lamibc, acetic acid, horse blanket, and hint of wood. Poured a muddy orange/pink/brown color with no head. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of particles throughout. Flavor is heavily tart and lightly sweet. Tastes of tart cherries, light wood, lambic, acetic acid, slight funk, light horse blanket. Medium body. Smooth texture. Soft carbonation. Tart cherry, lambic, slight funk, and hit of wood finish.

bottle. unfiltered and bottle conditioned, it pours cloudy grapefruit pink with very small white ring of a head, no retention. nose is heavily acetic (white vinegar) with milder cherry pit and wood notes. straightforward and nice enough on it’s own but doesn’t approach the complexity of belgian kriek simply because the yeast is nonexistent. approach is mild and on the sweet side. the flatness is surprising, while the acetic acid doesn’t hit you until late. cherry pits (medicinal) and wood (very dray, parched and tannic) consume the mouth, and the finish has a lingering sharp acetic character, again just like white vinegar. overall easy to like and enjoyable, not far from world class like belgian kriek, which is pretty much what you have to compare it against.

Bottle Pours out a hazy orange with red highs topped with a very small white head. Aroma was berries, cherry pie, vinegar, and a tartness. Taste much like the aroma but with some nice light oak and vanilla notes. A big thanks to Toby for this one.

2008 Bottle - Thanks Toby for pulling out one I’ve wanted to taste for a while!! Pours out ruddy orange with a small white head...aroma is tart pie cherries and light vinegar...flavour is similar, vinegar pucker, dry cherries, residual yeast provides a nice chalky balance to the pH...Buckeyeboy needed a spoon to finish the bottom 1/3 of the bottle...nicely done, can’t wait to try the others...

pours clear orangish. smell is sour, acidic, vinegary, and some cherry fruitiness. Flavor is a bit vinegary, but not too sour. A bit thin overall with some cherry flavor and sourness. watery palate. Unimpressive.
