750ml bottle shared by Bockyhorsey at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. The nose is sour fruit and vinegar. The taste is balsamic vinegar, light funk and salted fruit with some metallic in the finish. Medium prickly mouthfeel. Good stuff – thanks Bill!

Tried this (from the bottle) at a recent sours tasting. Colour... cloudy, light amber. Nose...holy acetic wonders, Batman! Palate...what the..?! What happened here?!! Ya know how your sense of smell and taste intersect? Well, I haven’t ever actually tasted the following things, but this is what this lambic reminds me of...butyl polymers, polystyrene, methyl ethyl ketone and just a touch of paradichlorobenzene. Ack!

Courtesy of Bockyhorsey. Pours a nice hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is funk, yeasts, sour acidic lemony grassy goodness. Flavor is funky, salty, acidic sour lambic goodness. This is intense, what a nice lambic.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Miver. Slightly hazy deep golden with a small, off-white head. Intense aroma of horse blanket and acetone. Medium body, very low in carbonation, sweetish caramel and fruit with burning acetone notes. Sour and swet finish. 010509

Bottle shared by beastiefan2k. Pours a cloudy amber with patchy off-white lace. The nose is super-sour and so acetone-like that is smells remarkably like nail polish remover until it opens up a bit. Once it does, however, it’s still not particularly enticing. Very acidic and sour, it’s almost biting at the swallow. Sour cherry and citrus with a solid acidity that is so potent that it’s currently eating away at my soul. This stuff is pretty rough...almost unpleasant to drink.

Bottle at Andy’s tasting. Can’t remember who brought this one. Pours a hazed orange brown with wisps of a white head. Nose is predominantly vinegar, with a little bit of wood and yeast. Medium bodied. Vinegar, vinegar, and more vinegar. This was rather one dimensional and seemed an experiment in blurring the lines between vinegar and lambic.

Bottle: Thanks eclectic! Hazy orange pour with a wispy white head. Very solventy aroma- acetic acidic, acetone, and all kinds of chemical character. Slick with low carbonation- sweet and sour flavor with solvent character all over. Lots of acetone and acetic burn on the back of the throat. Too solventy.
