Bottle. Body-ultra thin ring of bubbles, honey gold. Nose-apple, horse, funk, light dry wood. Taste-tart, light funk, surprisingly sweet, light kriek notes, light horse manure on the back end. A little hot, not very acidic. Nice.

Bottle thanks to bu11zey. Pours a nice, light amber, some grapefruit hues with white fizzy head. Aroma of some funk and barnyard, some faint wood. Flavor of fruit, salt, sweet. funk, good stuff! Mouthfeel is light-medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, I very much enjoyed this, would like again!

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Just like the other Iron Hill Lambics this is great stuff. Pours with hardly any head over a slightly hazed (second pour) penny hued body. Some lace. Aroma is of sweet cognac barrels with notes of oak, funk, sugar, tartness, vanilla and cheese. Taste is vanilla, barrel, sweetness, vinegar, sulfur, deviled eggs, and citric sour. Small in number, but lively bubbles. Dry mouthfeel.

Bottle, sampled at WeeHeavySD’s J&J Friday the 13th Tasting, with wetherel, toncatcher, DenverLogan and others. Cloudy deep yellow with a white ring of lace. Funky, infected nose with some light tones of cherry, lemon and oak. Really funky, sour taste with plenty of drying, yeast qualities. Tart but smooth finish. Very enjoyable.

Tasted at J&J’s Fri. the 13th tasting. Thanks everybody for the great time. This one has a SUPER-sour nose. Vinegar and ammonia. Hazy orange-amber color in the nose. Sharp in the mouth. Gives a big mouthfull. Too rich and sour for my palate, but it was fun to drink.

750mL bottle from WeeHeavySD tasted at J&J’s Friday the 13th tasting. Cloudy yellow color. Lots of acetic acid. Some floor cleaner ethyl acetate, which though considered a flaw in lambics and wines, but I’m starting to like. I think it is a necessary aroma component, the question being how much is acceptable, and how to control it.

Rating 2300, Bottle via BrianK. Thanks Brian, shared with my GF Cyn and Dalekliz. Pours a rich orange with a bright white head that has faded some. Nose is really quite nice I got it from the cork pop. Nose has sweet lactic qualities and perhaps a touch of dyicetal. Taste is sweet and tart and funky, but yup there is some infection in this bottle, it isn’t terrible, but I’ll certainly want a rerate.
