Sweet nose of apples, corn syrup, and wheat. Very little hop aroma but greater presence in the flavor and finish. Lends some balance to the taste. I’m not crazy about this beer or style.

Bright, accentuating, combo of hops and carbonation. Perfect amount of sweetness. Peach esters noted after beer warmed. Plenty of malt fullness, round mouthfeel. One of the best maibocks I’ve ever had. egajdzis (3644), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 2, 2000 Dark golden brown. Floral aroma. Modestly hopped with little malt presence, giving
it a dry, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Its dryness was almost reminiscient of a dry red wine, although its not ’winey’ like the powerful beers of the world. Still, at the bottom of the glass I detected hints of grape at the front of the tongue - giving it more complexity than I at first thought - and after finishing it, I had the same buzz and aftertaste that I usually have after drinking a very dry cabernet.
