[At GABF 2004] A light amber beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is sweet nutty combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is dry and roasted with notes of caramel and a hoppy bitter finish. I like the hoppyness compared to German Dunkles.

On tap at the Iron Hill in North Wales, PA. Poured a medium mahogany color with a small off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee and light chocolates. Malty tasting, caramel, some chocolates and a little bready. Overall, not a bad beer.

Draft at North Wales. Another winner from my 2nd best sampler ever (2nd only to Victory’s massive 16 six-ouncers that I had over the summer.....which incidentally Victory gave me a hard time about ordering the next time I tried to order it...bastards.) At any rate, this one pours deep brown with ruby edges. Great aroma of malt, cabernet, nuts, and chocoff. Tastes bold, firm, with chocoff, some nuts, toffee, and corn flakes at the finish. This beer kicks ass and takes names.

Poured an amber color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, caramel, nuts, and floral hops. Taste of more nuts and roast, some doughy nougat, chocolate, citrus hops, and a medium bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, very nice dunkel.
