#33 Bottle. [Papsoe’s great blind tasting, thanks Henrik!] Small bubbly beige head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy dark amber color. Aroma of citrus, fruit, strange medicine. Over the palate came sweet malt, honey, grain and fruity notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Sweet fruity light sharp finish. 7-3-7-3-15 = 3.5 19-04-2008

Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #33: Pours almost clear redish with a lacing off-white head. Wineous and fruity aroma. Quite dense. Flavour is sweet and malty with a light yeasty note. Light fruity finish with a solid wineous note. Warming alcohol.

Bottle: This was my first beer after a week of having a nasty little cold, so I wasnt sure how my palate would react, but this beer did not let me down! Almost light black in color. Not what I was expecting. Good size head that faded quickly. Smell of vanilla and oak. Smooth spicey taste and the alcohol warms you up. Light hint of bourbon. Very well done. Not watery but not thick as well and a good amount of carbonation. Good beer, very enjoyable!

reddish brown body with a nice white head that left lacing on the glass.the aroma is awesome.bananas, oak, fruits, vanilla, caramel, and just a touch of funk.the flavor was a different story.it was a bit leathery, and it really tasted like it was oak "chipped" instead of "barreled".at least to me.although i still was pretty damn good.

750 ml bottle shared by Odeed! Nose was slightly tart and very fruity with some oaky notes of light vanilla; clear brown with a small beige head; flavor was sweet raisiny fruitiness, oaky bourbon, and vanilla! Very good stuff! Thanks Jake!

Muddy brown colour. Toasty, oaky aroma almost like a brown sugary barbeque sauce. There is a subtle fruitiness, bouncing between citrusy and tropical. The body is dextrous, with an enlivening hint of acidity. The flavour is fruity, with intensely vinous oak notes, mandarin and yuzu. Big clean malts and a whiff of smoke. Finishes with an alcoholic splash. Fantastically complex, with great balance and drinkability, as well as a keen sense of style.
