Brewes in the USA... On tap at the Lancaster location. Pours a deep plum color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of wine, spices and wild berries. The taste is much of the same, but i would add some cranberry and yeast flavors. Mouthfeel is smooth yet dry and finishes with a slight alcohol warmth. This Saison was very interesting and i am pretty sure i would try this one again.

BCTWC 09. Pours a deep dark brown almost black with a nice lasting beige head. Aroma is nutty, dark chocolate, lots of fruity esters, but not wild or out of control- some phenolics as well- earthy, plastic hints, leather and spice. Flavor was a good balance of dark malts and Belgian yeast character- not out of control, not too yeasty- just earthy leather, nutty, slight saltiness and good raisin and date fruitiness. Finish is balanced and dry, although overall I didn’t get reminded of any dark saison. This just felt like a nice well made Belgian dark strong ale.

On tap at the Lancaster location. A dark farmhouse ale. Sweet tang in the nose with orange blossom and light brown sugar. Light fruity character with hint of cherry. Dark brown amber clear with thin light tan head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with watery cherry taste, mild fruity esters, alcohol warming and carbonic acidity. Light chocolate character with mild to medium bitter finish. Quite an interesting combination, but I kinda like it. Tangy astringent after, reminding me of Voodoo Gran Met with a bit of cherry cough syrup.
