This was excellent for a porter. Growler from Maple Shade. Poured black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, and and hint of roasted coffee. Big chocolate flavor upfront. Transformed into a roasted feel in the finish. Crisp finish.

Cask at Newark location. Pours out a nice brown color with slight reddish hues and a 1 finger slightly off white head. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate and a slight earthy smoked meat note. Smooth mouthfeel with light notes of chocolate, some roasted malts and a smoky earthy note in there also. Good example of the style.

On tap at Iron Hill’s Maple Shade location. Pours a pitch black with a creamy tan head. Looks amazing at first glance. Great aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Taste is similar to the aroma-coffe, malts, maybe a bit of vanilla.
